A journey from the dance-floor to the decks… Linzi j is relatively new on the DJ scene but certainly no stranger to Electronic music. Having been a professional dancer/skater Linzi j always had a keen ear for rhythm and sounds. Linzi j’s influences are cross genre, growing up listening to Pink Floyd, Dire Straits and alternative rock – to the more melodic, ambient sounds of Enigma, Linzi knew that she was a sucker for rhythm, as time progressed so did the bass lines and the taste for techno and tech house became insatiable.

The summer of 2017 allowed Linzi to learn the art of mixing from the people closest to her, all it took was patience, confidence and persistence. Her first big opportunity to preform was with Boobs On Decks, Ckaz gave her a spot warming up for their event at the infamous Ironworks venue. Since then Linzi has gone on to support Harvey McKay in Coatbridge and also had guest appearances in various locations for Highland Live Stream.

Her favourite moments so far have been creating a mix for Saturo Radio to promote the upcoming Shenanigan festival which will be the most exciting booking for her to date! She was also approached to supply a mix/music for London Fashion Week for a local designer which was exciting to see come together.

Linzi is part of Exklusive Techno; which is run with partner Phil Macdonald (Gearbox Digital). During this time she has been lucky enough to work alongside the likes of Ramiro Lopez, Spektre, Spartaque and T78 which has given her a fantastic insight to the industry not to mention access to some of the best up and coming unreleased tracks on Exklusive’s roster.

Linzi says: “My main sounds are influenced by the likes of Maceo Plex, Noir, Tiger Stripes, Maya Jane Coles, Enrico Sangiuliano, Henry Saiz, Spektre, Huxley, Ronnie Spiteri, more recently becoming partial to Raw Hardstyle! There’s actually too many influences to list! I’m all about warm pads, beautiful melodies and pounding bass. Music to me is a journey of energy, emotion and rhythms…’
