James is originally from Tain and moved away to study creative media.

He eventually moved to Inverness in 2011 to open Creative Skate Store which found him immersed in local events and attending as many nights in Inverness as possible.

After years of organising and hosting various events of his own and watching all the Dj’s perform James decided in January 2018 that he wanted to get away from being the bedroom Dj and take his passion for DnB and Funk and Soul to a public setting.

With a Summer of warm-up slots James is now playing along side the Dj’s of the newly formed night Illicit Drum and Bass. James also has his own night FunkIt! with monthly residencies at Encore and Madhatters in Inverness.
